Types of Magnifying Light and How to Use Them

Magnifying Light

An illuminated magnifier is an important tool for anybody immersed in precision assembly or design, but it is also an incredible help for folks who have problem with their vision. Lighted magnifiers lessen eye strain and exhaustion, while letting the user to observe the tiny details of the item being seen. Several other objects from jewelry to specific craft objects have components which are tough to observe with the naked eye, so a magnifying glass is normally vital when functioning with them.

Types of Magnifying Light

There are numerous styles of these present on the bazaar, but the 3 major styles are;

The Desk Mounted Magnifying Light

A small, stretchy neck on a weighted base

The Arm Mounted Magnifying Light

An interconnected arm, with the magnifier and lamp attached to the end. The arm fastens to the desk or workbench edge with a lock.

The Floor Mounted Magnifying Light

The stretchy neck is fixed to a set on a weighted base. This lets it to be shifted around and utilized where required.

In certain cases, the arm attached models are the greatest, offering a bigger magnifier and lengthier reach. Desk mounted magnifiers should be positioned right at the work piece; shifting them demands that there be a well-defined area on the workbench where the magnifier wants to go.

How to Use Magnifying Light

  1. This swift reference guide will increase your knowledge and instruct you to get the magnifier, which best meets your demands.
  2. Decent, unblemished lighting is an important element to contemplate upon when picking a magnifier.
  3. Numerous workplace areas have secondary and shadow-filled lighting situations at best, causing marginal viewing performance.
  4. Lighted magnifiers recompense for this with an excellent fluorescent, halogen or LED lighting substance fixed around the viewing glass frame.
  5. Fluorescent lighting fetches out lucidity of view by lighting a broad, cool and shadow-less light.
  6. Halogen lamps will produce a warmer glow and warm up more speedily.
  7. LED lamps extinguish less lighting; still tend to have good longevity than either fluorescent or halogen bulbs.
  8. The name diopter talks about the sum of curvature a lens will contain.
  9. More curvature implies a thicker lens, more, enlargement and a greater diopter number.
  10. To discover the magnification degree of a lens, just divide its diopter by 4, and add 1.
  11. Focal length is demarcated as the vastness from the lens to the point where an item is in focus and it gets vital if you want gap above the item in which to work.
  12. If you want tons of area to work, you won’t have as much magnification present.
  13. If you don’t want much working area, you can get sturdier magnification, and actually, magnifiers with greater power are usually saved for close-in inspection and measurement.
  14. As a common rule of thumb, when your magnification becomes bigger, your lens and focal length become slighter.
  15. The arena of view is the size of the magnified place that is in attention under the lens; the greater your magnification, the littler your arena-of-view will be.
  16. When mending electronics or other close-in work, hands-free operation is totally important.
  17. Electrostatic Discharge, ESD, discharge, while inoffensive to humans, could be destructive to fragile electrical circuit boards and delicate components.
  18. Utilize both eyes when expending a magnifying lamp, only like you will utilize a comfy pair of prescription glasses.
  19. Make certain the lens is placed to keep your item in focus, while your peepers are 8” to 10” far from the glass. This will provide you the finest magnification with the smallest sum of disturbance.

I will love her for the rest of my life.

story

So the time has come for a hard, sad announcement. I do not post relationship issues on line so this may seem sudden and out of the blue for you. I apologize for that. After thirteen years and more adventures and misadventures than I can count, Jen and I ending our marriage partnership. While I’m very aware of the problems that have brought us here, I’m also equally aware of just how much this relationship has changed my life. When I met Jen, I was a practicing Christian still struggling with women and gay rights issues. Jen’s influence and willingness to speak out on things brought me a long way in my progressive politics, my feminism, my atheism, my views on alternative lifestyles and marriage, my writing. She’s inspired a bucket of songs and stories and characters over the years. And most importantly, she brought Lizzy and Rachel into my life and they have given me a continent of love to explore that I never imagined possible. I know myself well enough to say that I will love her for the rest of my life.

We have told Lizzy and Rae and we are getting them all of the support they need as we go through this transition. We may not be able to be good partners for one another but I believe we can be exceptional parenting partners and am committed to learning how to co-parent with Jen. This week, I am moving the last of my things into my new house about a mile away. I have worked hard for several months to create a welcoming home for me to parent Lizzy and Rae in half time. Now that they’ve seen it, they are also packing baskets of toys, books, movies and games that will live at their new house with Daddy. Today, I am moving the Den of Ken so that I can get it set up and get back to work on the book. Tonight, me and the girls have a slumber party there.

Through all of the stress of this last several months, I’ve continued to see remarkable results from my last treatment. Self care is keeping me steady and I’ve yet to experience a PTSD triggering from these very challenging times. I’ve still managed to get some work done despite high stress.

You will not see me posting much about the relationship or details but there will be pics drifting in of the New Den of Ken as it comes together. Most of you who know me know that I’d much rather get a private message than a public post from my tribe during times like these. I ask that you keep us in your thoughts, meditations, prayers (preferably to deities of lawful good or true neutral alignment), sensitivity and support as we move through this change.

There are already several people who deserve heroic praise for their help during this time. No names named but you all know who you are.

Share a bit more of my electrical system

I bought a 300W boat solar kit (3x bendable 100W monocrystalline panels and accessories) from @renogysolar, and upgraded the charge controller to an MPPT charge controller also from Renogy. I got 2 group 31 AGM batteries (wired in parallel for 210Ah) from @westmarineinc along with most of the wiring, fuse panels, circuit breakers, and shore power charger (have not had to hook up to shore power since the initial charge!). Picked up other miscellaneous supplies from Home Depot (the circuit housing in between the batteries, housing the fuse panels, busbars, etc.), Amazon (some inline fuses for each solar panel, and other miscellaneous things it was hard to find elsewhere), Fry’s Electronics (the 400W pure sine wave inverter–total overkill for my needs, as I haven’t even hit 70W real use through it, but that’s the idea), Camping World, and Autozone (tiny ins and outs like 2 separate 12V ports).

Everything is fused multiple times (plus 4 major circuit breakers–one on each battery, one at the connection of the positives from each battery, and another before the primary fuse panel), and the vast majority of everything is oversized for the load I ever put on it. Not shown, also is a NASA marine BM-1 battery monitor and (previously pictured) the monitor connected to the charge controller. More than meets all my needs! The solar panels are tied to the roof of the car when I’m stationary (still perfecting technique, but have used bungie cords and paracord, both to varying degrees so far), and then easily stack and slide in on top of all of my stuff in the trunk space when I move. I’ve considered a more permanent solution, but have held off so far. Came in around $3k total, doing the wiring and setup myself. A few bits need to be redone already, but I patched them up to a safe degree for now (nothing dangerous, but if I yank real hard at the right spots, I could break a couple of connections). Maybe fix it more this weekend.

Just a thought we have to learn how to be decent and in order

Just a thought we have to learn how to be decent and in order. Life is balance yes even when you are a Christian. Jesus didn’t say that he came to give us life and that more abundantly for nothing. In the wake of my God son’s untimely death due to a long illiness I’m more motivated to live my life to the fullest life is so short. Life is for the living and I’m going to live just because you are a Christian doesn’t mean your life stops. The devil is a LIE. Quite contrary it has just begun. You can still laugh, have fun, learn new things, go different places even being saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost. You are who God says you are REDEEMED, MORE Than A CONQUEROR, AN OVERCOMER, A SON OF GOD, A ROYAL PRIESTHOOD. Im SAVED by GRACE NOT works lest ANY man shall boast. We have to remember OUR righteousness is of filthy rags. Its not about “works” its about your salvation in Jesus Christ.
Be careful not to be so “heavenly minded you’re no earthly good.” You will have people forming cults and stop having children, working, or living waiting on God to come back Jesus said occupy till I come. He said all those things that are going on now as it was in Noah to highlight the wrong true enough but also to show you to continue to live. Don’t be controlled by religion, traditionalism, they are quite different from a true relationship with God look at Mary and Martha one was complaining about the other not doing what she thought she should’ve been doing to serve God but I like what Jesus did he put the accuser in their place and told her “she is doing what is needful” in other words “stay in YOUR lane and mind YOUR business” Lord knows worrying about self is a job in itself. Pray for me, give me the Truth in love not judgment and with intent to control my life but just live by example and love me right where I am. Let me work out my OWN soul salvation with fear and trembling and you work yours out the same. ” See that your calling and election is sure and take heed lest he fall”

Check Your Electrolyte Levels

11212585_1589681117978130_142274830623761846_o

Just want to take a second and remind everybody about BatteryMaintenance. If you have Lead Acid batteries in your boat make sure you check your electrolyte (acid) levels. Even if your Batteries say Maintenance Free, unless they’re a AGM, or Optima style, more then likely theres fill screws under the sticker that says Maintenance Free. I have used Dekagroup 31 Master Marine lead acid batteries for going on four yrs now and at some point during every yr I top them off. I just used about a gallon of electrolytes (acid) in my 36V setup. You can use water if you have to. However for Longevity stop by your car parts store and pick up what you need. Keep in mind it is acid!!! so proper PPE is in order.
